The Ultra Carbon offers you all the advantages of a carbon wood: it is exceptionally controlled for such a fast wood and also forgives technically unclean beats. It is lighter than comparable wood without carbon and it is of course also very sturdy.
The Ultra Carbon also offers you what you could not expect from a carbon fiber: a sensitive and rather soft ball-stop. The possibility of including passive impacts, e.g. Undercut playing effectively. And an optimal elasticity, which also promotes the play with maximum rotation (which means that this wood is not completely stiff, but also does not vibrate too much in hard strokes).
The weight distribution of this wood is copflast. Compared to Chinese wood, however, this wood has a shorter and wider face (as usual with SpinLord approx. 155 x 152 mm).
The wood consists of 5 veneers and 2 carbone inserts in a total thickness of approx. 5.9 mm. The outer veneers are from Limba, the intermediate veneer from Koto and the core veneer from Ayous. The carbone inserts are made of carbonflies, the thinnest and softest grade carbon.
